Portrait of François Bouchet

François Bouchet

Associate Professor · Sorbonne Université — LIP6 / MOCAH

I am an Associate Professor in Computer Science at Sorbonne Université and a researcher at LIP6, where I co-lead the MOCAH team. My work sits at the intersection of artificial intelligence and education: learning analytics, educational data mining, intelligent tutoring systems, and — more recently — algorithmic fairness and explainability for predictive models used in education.

Before joining Sorbonne Université in 2013, I was a postdoctoral fellow at McGill University (Montréal), working on the MetaTutor intelligent tutoring system, after a PhD on natural-language assisting conversational agents at LIMSI / Université Paris-Sud.

This site collects my publications, teaching, and research projects, and the occasional note. My full CV is here.
